A new occupier, a divided unit or a changed access arrangement can make an existing alarm AMC equipment schedule out of date. Send the relevant change entry to the building representative where shared systems are involved. Ask for confirmation of who updates the common equipment schedule and who communicates with other affected parties.
The register is an administrative tool for maintaining an accurate contract scope. It is not a substitute for the technical or authority processes applicable to an alteration, and it should never be used as permission to move, disconnect or disable fire alarm equipment.
